ISO 20022 message builder & verifier

A training aid for banks moving from SWIFT MT to ISO 20022 MX under CBPR+ (SR2025). Build sample messages, verify your own, look up the MT → MX equivalents, and learn the standard — all in one place.

How to use this site

  1. New to ISO 20022? Start with Theory and the Guide for the concepts and the MT → MX picture.
  2. Need a sample message? Open Generate MX messages, pick a message type, hit Load example or fill the fields, then Generate & validate. Copy or download the XML.
  3. Got a message to check? Open Verify your MX message, choose the message and version, paste or upload it, and read the errors.
  4. Migrating a field or message from MT? Use MT to MX equivalent for the mapping.

What this is — and isn't. This is a training aid. A green / OK result means field formats are valid and the XML is well-formed and structurally CBPR+-consistent — it does not replace the SWIFT Readiness Portal, the authoritative validator. Confirm any version, code set or business rule there before a production or "CBPR+ compliant" claim. Supported baseline: CBPR+ SR2025.

ℹ️Mandatory (*) reflects CBPR+ usage-guideline rules, which tighten the base ISO standard (e.g. UETR, settlement date and structured Town/Country become required). This is a training aid. The green status means field formats are valid and the XML is well-formed — it does not mean the message passes the full base-ISO XSD or every CBPR+ usage-guideline / business rule. Those require the SWIFT Readiness Portal or a FINplus test environment. Confirm any version, code set or rule there before a production or "CBPR+ compliant" claim.
